The former leader of the Canberra Liberals is rejecting repeated claims that Canberra is a Labor Town.

Elizabeth Lee has taken to social media to say she heard that ideology, time and time again, during the entirety of her time in politics.

On Linked In, she writes no one can deny the devastating result for the Liberals at the Federal election, and admits, the party needs to be re-shaped.

As the Liberals look towrds a greater number of females in the line up, she’s praised the work of the CANBERRA Liberals, which was the first in Australia to have an all-female leadership team, with an all female majority party room during the previous term.

She says, among other things, Australians are seeking the freedoms that liberalism stands for.
