Mystery continues to surround the details of Bruce Lehrmann’s appeal against the recent scathing defamation judgement.

Bruce Lhrmann has continually denied claims he raped Brittany Higgins inside Canberra’s Parliament House.

But in the recent defamation judgement, Justice Michael Lee found, on the balance of probabilities, and the civil standard of proof, he assaulted her, but it does not amount to criminal guilt.

On Friday, The Federal Court confirmed, Mr Lehrmann lodged a notice of appeal, just hours before the deadline.. and that he would most likely represent himself.

An appeal will be heard by a full bench of three judges, but it’s still unclear, the exact grounds of the appeal.
