The Canberra Liberals are celebrating international nurses day by highlighting a petition calling for greater flexibility for nurse scrub choices.

A community petition calling for greater flexibility around fun and colourful scrubs in healthcare workplace was started after an email circulated saying fun scrubs were not part of the Canberra Health Services uniform.

Liberal Leader Mark Parton says bright and cheerful scrubs can help create a calmer and more comforting environment.

Shadow Minister for Women & Women’s Health Leanne Castley said nurses deserve workplaces that support both professionalism and wellbeing.
