Construction on the Light Rail extension to Commonwealth Park will officially begin today.
Work begins today on the 1.7-kilometre extension that will carry light rail services around the western side of London Circuit towards Commonwealth Park.
The project will cost more than $500 million.
The line is expected to open in January 2028, more than 8.5 years after the first stage opened between Gungahlin and the city.
