Canberra’s Light Rail has hit another milestone.

The transport project has hit 15 million total passengers over the weekend.

Minister for Transport and City Services Chris Steel says he’s very proud of the Light Rail, and that its services continue to provide a convenient, attractive and sustainable form of public transport.

According to a light rail satisfaction survey, 98 per cent of passengers reported they’re satisfied with the tram’s operation.

Minister Steel says 22 per cent of all public transport usage in the ACT in the past three months were on the Light Rail.
