Once again, warnings have been issued over Swooping Magpies, here in Canberra.

We’re smack middle of the season… magpies have built their nests, to raise their young.

But parts of Canberra have become the so-called territory… male magpies are defending their territory… swooping down on potential intruders.

As frightful as it is, they’re only expected to be protective for about six weeks.

In the meantime, some sort of light reflection is being advised startle the birds…
