A 38-year-old man has been charged after allegedly assaulting two security guards in the Canberra Centre on Saturday afternoon.

About 4:45pm, police received reports that a man had allegedly punched, kicked and struck two security guards before leaving the scene on foot.

Police were given a description of the man and a short time later, officers located him on London Circuit and he was placed under arrest.

The 38-year-old man will face the ACT Magistrates Court charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm, breach of good behaviour obligations and fail to appear after bail undertaking.
