ACT Policing has charged a 46 year old man after an alleged family violence incident in Narrabundah on Sunday evening.
About 5:15pm on Sunday, a woman attended her former partner’s home in Narrabundah to return keys and collect personal belongings.
After entering the home, police allege the man became aggressive, taking her phone and making threats towards her.
It’s alleged the man assaulted the woman multiple times, including using a tripod to strike and strangle her.
The woman was allegedly prevented from leaving the house and was threatened with several household items including a knife.
The incident was reported to police, and about 2pm yesterday police attended the house to arrest him.
He will face the ACT Magistrates Court today.
