A 40 year old man will face court today after he allegedly strangled his former partner and threatened to kill her.

Yesterday morning, the man allegedly confined the woman in a room and began threatening to kill her.

He then allegedly strangled her and refused to let her leave the room.

When she was able to leave she called for help and the man was arrested.
