A man has been charged after a pursuit with police in Queanbeyan yesterday.

Officers were attempting to stop a Holden Barina on Gilmore Place for not displaying a rear number plate.

The Barina hit a telegraph pole while trying to turn right onto Tharwa Road, with three men fleeing the scene of the crash.

All three were arrested nearby a short time later – with the 26-year-old driver charged with several offences.

He’s been granted bail to appear in Queanbeyan Local Court next month.
