A 49-year-old man has faced court, charged with murder, after the death of a 68 year old in Kambah.

Police were called to a residence in Kambah in the early hours of Saturday morning following reports of a disturbance.

They found the man with head injuries and took him to hospital.

The man checked himself out of hospital on Saturday afternoon and returned home, however on Sunday he was found dead.

Detective Acting Superintendent Callum Hughes says an extensive investigation is underway.

“He had a number of injuries to his head, while we’re going through the early part of the investigation part of that will include a full examination of his injuries,” Hughes said.

The matter was adjourned, the man will face court again in April.
