Man faces high range drink driving charge

A 40 year old Harrison man has been charged with high range drink driving following a collision in Ngunnawal yesterday morning on Burrumarra Ave.

Police observed the black Nissan Micra sedan stationary in the middle of the road, it was missing the front bumper with a smashed windscreen and airbags deployed.

An investigation revealed the vehicle had crashed on the roundabout at Gungahlin Drive and Horse Park Drive, about 2 kilometers from where Police found the man in his vehicle.

The man was taken into custody and allegedly returned a blood alcohol reading of .272.

He was served with an immediate suspension notice to face court at a later date.
