The 38-year-old faced a number of charges including driving with a prescribed drug in his system.

Police say the man who had methamphetamine in his system at the time was riding 94 kilometres an hour on the Majura Parkway in a crouching position.

E-scooter speeds are capped at 15 kilometres on footpaths and 25 kilometres an hour on roads.

The man was sentenced him to four months in jail, with one of those to be served in custody before the rest are suspended
