A 39 year old man will face the ACT Magistrates Court after allegedly dousing his partner in methylated spirits and threatening to set her alight.

With a warrant out for his arrest, the man was apprehended in Bonner yesterday, it’s alleged the man verbally threatened police before running at an officer.

Police dogs and non lethal weapons were used in an attempt to restrain the man, he ran away before officers caught up with him.

The man faces charges including reckless threat to inflict grievous bodily harm, one count of acts endangering life and resisting a public official.
