ACT Policing’s Sexual Assault and Child Abuse Team have arrested a 40-year-old Mawson man following an investigation into his alleged sexual abuse of two children.

Police will allege that the man abused the two children at a residence in Wanniassa between January 2019 and December 2020.

On 25 January 2026, police received a report regarding the alleged abuse and an investigation was commenced.

About 12:40pm March 12, the man attended City Police Station and was placed under arrest.
