Canberra is today playing host to a sombre memorial anniversary, marking 10 years since the shooting-down of Malaysia Airlines flight 17.
Nearly 300 people were killed – 38 of them, Australians, when the Boeing Triple Seven jet was shot-down over eastern Ukraine.
It was an investigation that Federal Police Chief Scientist DR SIMON WALSH says he’ll never forget in which his team was able to get to the truth of the matter and bring the culprits to justice.
Today, a variety of services are being held across the day to honour those killed, a decade ago, in Amsterdam, Sydney’s Martin Place… and at Parliament House, here in Canberra.
