The Royal Australian Mint have started releasing this year’s special Dawn Service coins into circulation to honour the tradition of the service.

The circulating $2 coins feature a coloured dawning sun rising over the water, looked on by a vast crowd in a poppy field, while a lone soldier stands on the headland, head bowed, facing the sun.

The coins will continue to be released throughout the year.
