The completion date for construction of the Molonglo river Bridge has been pushed back to late next year.
The project was signed-off in 2023.
The bridge HAD been on track to finish by late this year, but rising costs, skills shortages and complex utilities requirements have caused a delay.
Girders were recently put in place. Now, decks are being installed on top of the girders.
The delays mean the bridge won’t be ready until late 2026.
After the completion, landscaping and planting work will be carried out in 2027.
