The A.C.T. Chief Minister says he’ll continue to seek more federal budget funding of Canberra infrastructure.

While the May Federal budget gave the A.C.T. funding for various projects, it did not financially back a new convention centre.

Chief Minister ANDREW BARR wanted a co-funding deal.

He says the A.C.T. will now submit a funding proposal – but it’ll be limited to the planning phase, as he admits, construction would still be several years away.

The Chief Minister says he just wants the commonwealth to be a partner in the development of the convention centre.
