A major union wants more to be done in the punishment of a Belconnen massage parlour for breaching the Fair Work Act.

Foot and Thai Massage underpaid its workers – and threatened to send them back to the Phillippines if they complained about their treatment.

United Workers Union National President Jo Schofield says  it’s a case that amounts to modern slavery…

The business itself has since gone into liquidation.

A judge will rule next year on its punishment which could see a fine totalling more than a million dollars .
