The weekend of rain across the A.C.T. and surrounding New South Wales region – has led to partially treated effluent being discharged into the Molonglo River.

and with more showers and thunderstorms forecast, Icon Water says further discharges may still occur over coming days.

The weekend deluge has led to 144 calls for help – mostly for leaky roofs.

Elsewhere –  it seems the peak of the flood has passed in Central Victoria, as crews move through the region to assess the damage.

In New South Wales – at Moree, the town remains cut off with 150 Defence force personnel “at the ready”

Further east,  flood-weary residents in Lismore are being told to prepare to evacuate with major flooding possible.. for the third time in eight months.
