Police have arrested and charged two men for drink driving and other road related offences.
At about 12am Saturday 26 July, police were driving along Drakeford Drive in Kambah when they observed a blue coloured Mitsubishi Lancer allegedly speeding at 128km/hr in an 80km/hr speed zone.
Police stopped the vehicle and conducted a roadside breath test on the driver which returned a positive result.
He was transported to Tuggeranong Police Station where he returned a breath analysis of 0.117.
The 48-year old man from Harrison was arrested and charged with speeding and drink driving.
In a separate incident at around 1am (Saturday 26 July) police stopped a blue Mitsubishi Triton on Gungahlin Drive in Gungahlin.
The driver was subjected to a roadside breath test which returned a positive result.
Police checks revealed the driver also had a suspended licence and was driving an unregistered vehicle.
The 23 year-old man from Harrison was taken to Gungahlin Police Station to undergo a breath analysis test which returned a result of 0.147.
He was arrested and taken to the ACT Watch House and charged with drink driving, driving while suspended and driving an unregistered vehicle.
Both drivers were issued an immediate suspension notice, suspending their right to drive in the ACT for 90 days and arrested.
