The A.C.T.’s poor economy and stringent business requirements are being blamed for the loss of another Canberra based hospitality outlet and music venue

This time it’s the iconic TRANSIT BAR in the city…. closing its doors with the company going into liquidation.

The outlet was already trying to find its feet after the pandemic and failed rent negotiations at another location.

The liquidator hopes to have a better idea on the situation, by the end of next week.

Transit Bar has been a Canberra identity in the A.C.T.’s music scene for more than two decades.

But lately, those close to the situation, say people are not going out and spending as much as they used to.
