An inquiry into the “MY WAY PLUS” ticketing system has been told the ACT Government was warned about the system being sub-optimal before it was rolled out.
Auditing firm Projects Assured was commissioned to review the system in September last year, two months before it launched.
Its review found the system would be sub-optimal – but functional – at the time of it going live.
The inquiry has also been told the NEC Australia, who holds the contract for the system, planned for a slower rollout.
The Legislative Assembly’s standing committee on environment, planning, transport and city services – will release its report on the procurement and implementation of the system by the end of next month.
