A new ticketing system for Canberra’s public transport network is facing significant delays.

Canberrans were told earlier this year they’d be able to tap on and off with their credit cards – making it more convenient to use buses and light rail.

But a provider for the new system is yet to be selected, with the government now blaming the COVID-19 pandemic for the delay.
