New and improved schools announced for Gungahlin

The ACT government has announced its investing millions of dollars to build and expand schools in Canberra’s north.

$72.5 million has been set aside to deliver a brand new high school in the suburb of Kenny in East Gungahlin, which will cater for 800 students from years 7 to 10.

More than 12 million dollars will also be spent on expanding the permanent capacity of Amaroo School’s senior campus by an additional 200 places.

The ACT Government is also investing over $17 million in flexible, transportable classrooms to meet increased demand across Canberra.
