Canberra’s new National Convention and Entertainment Centre has taken a major step forward, with a significant tender released to market.

The tender will appoint a specialist consultant team to develop the project’s business case and initial reference design.

The next step will see a reference design for the new centre developed, and detailed planning to understand the project’s scope, costs, benefits, risks and delivery options.

The Property Council of Australia and Master Builders ACT have welcomed the announcement, calling it a positive step forward.
