Authorities have begun a new testing program to monitor and respond to drug use at the Alexander Maconochie Centre.
It’s a new wastewater testing program which helps to identify traces of drugs and other illicit substances at the facility.
It actually began back in May but details have just been released….
Results of a recent test, showed elevated levels of amphetamines and meth.
Officials say it’s just the beginning – as part of a broader drug strategy.
