The ACT Government says it is progressing on the modernisation of the Majura Primary School, with the appointment of a construction partner to deliver the new library.

Projex Building Group will refurbish the existing library, turning it into an administration area for staff.

The modernisation includes upgrading classrooms, improving heating and cooling and refurbishing bathrooms.

A separate contractor will be hired to deliver future staged work on the school.

The project is part of the ACT Governments $20 million investment into education for locals in the Inner South.
