Nightclubs will be permitted to reopen in the ACT from 12 noon this Friday, in line with operating conditions for other licensed venues in the ACT.

Dancing will be permitted for indoor spaces that choose to have a dedicated dance area.

Venues with a dedicated dance area in an indoor space must limit the number of people in the area by applying the 1 person per 2 square metre rule, up to a maximum of 25 people.

For venues not using the Check-In CBR app, they must apply the 1 person per 4 square rule to dedicated dance areas, up to a maximum of 25 people.

Patrons will have to remain seated while drinking.
