There’ll be no early release for a prisoner, accused of attempted murder, after he failed have his sentence reduced on appeal.
It was a remark by the full bench of the A.C.T. Court of appeal that ended it all…
The remark: “…It’s difficult to find the words to address or explain the apparent absence of regret, by a a human being, who’s inflicted so much harm on a victim”.
The man was hopeful of a reduction in his 27 year sentence for attempted murder.
He thought it was harsh…
His victim passed a way earlier this year… 16 months after she was stabbed 11 times… and burned.
The man pleaded guilty during the original court proceedings.
