A Canberra woman’s expected back in court in the next fortnight accused of a hit and run against an A.C.T. Police officer.

Earlier this week, a woman turned herself in.. and was refused bail during an initial court appearance.

She’s accused of driving a vehicle last Monday – in the Australian National University campus, and drove towards an officer who tried to get her attention.

The officer fell forward onto the bonnet of the car – then rolled off as the vehicle drove away at high speed.

The judge decided to refuse bail over the alleged risk of re-offending.

She’s due to re-appear in court on August 3.
