There will be no changes to security rules at the Canberra Airport, despite a man allegedly opening fire at windows in the terminal on Sunday.
Some, including Independent Senator Jacqui Lambie have called for a review into security following the incident.
The airport’s chief executive Stephen Byron says most people around the incident felt safe to continue travelling or go on with their job.
“There are some employees that we need to look after because they’ve been shocked by this, and there’s counselling in place for them,” Byron said.
“There are also some travelers that were on site at the time and we’ve got counselling for them.”
