A man will spend Christmas behind bars after appearing court, charged over the Machete attack of a friend in Wanniassa

The man appeared in the A.C.T. Magistrates Court on Friday after his arrest on Thursday over the incident that occurred back in September.

The injured man needed life-saving surgery.

The court was told, the alleged offender took a bus to YASS to get away before police arrived.

In court, the man sought bail, saying he cared for his grand-mother, however, bail was denied when the court was told, his grand mother hasn’t seen him for months.

The case goes back to court next year.
