No Confidence Motion Voted Down

Chief Minister Andrew Barr has survived a no confidence motion from the Opposition, which has been labelled ‘petty and pointless’.

Opposition Leader Elizabeth Lee brought on the vote, after it was revealed the Greens would vote against their Labor colleagues plans to allocate $41 million to the horse racing industry.

Greens Leader Shane Rattenbury argued that while the two parties have their differences, no one wants to see the government dissolved because of a singular issue.
