Canberra’s construction sector will not be receiving an independent building commissioner after the ACT government rejected an inquiry recommendation.

The Legislative Assembly inquiry into building quality issues plaguing Canberra’s construction sector put forward 48 recommendations.

Of those recommendations the government rejected outright 4 of them, and agreed to implement 12.
