No set date for travel between Canberra and Sydney

The ACT Government says New South Wales needs to clarify travel rules for Canberrans looking to go across the border.

Some restrictions eased earlier this week that allowed New South Wales residents to work in ACT and avoid stay-at-home orders.

Health Minister Rachel Stephen-Smith says she expects news for Canberrans later today.

“There is a lot of conversation between the ACT and New South Wales Governments about this issue,” said Minister Stephen-Smith.

“We are dependent on them making a decision and I understand they are going to make another announcement today about how they are going to treat the ACT going forward.”
