ACT Health has advised that one person has recovered from Covid-19 in the ACT’s hotel quarantine system.

There are now four active cases of Covid-19 in the ACT.

They remain in hotel quarantine along with three close contacts, after one of the cases recovered.

The length of the extended quarantine period for these remaining returned travelers is considered on a case by case basis and in line with national guidelines.

Fragments of COVID-19 have also been detected in ACT’s wastewater, with the positive detection found in a sewage sample collected on the 16th March, from the City Central wastewater testing location.

It’s understood the likely positive sample is most likely related to known cases of COVID-19 still in hotel quarantine.
