Orroral Valley Continuing To Rebound

The Orroral Valley is seeing much needed regrowth three years on from the Black Summer fires, but authorities say there still a while left in its recovery.

It’s reopening once again following the inferno, which caused widespread damage to the landscape.

Namadgi National Park Director Peter Cotsell says its come a long way since the disaster.

“On the whole it’s looking absolutely fantastic, we’ve had a lot of rain which is triggering regrowth,” Mr Cotsell said.

“Grasses are back, we had a lot of wildflowers in spring, however there is a lot of burnt sticks still around.”
