Queensland is adopting the A.C.T.’s massive financial punishment on drivers who park their petrol or diesel cars in an electric vehicle parking spot.
Canberra has the biggest fine in the country – $3,200 for anyone in a petrol or diesel engined vehicle who parks in a spot, reserved for E.V.’s.
Queensland is following suit.
The fine: Just over $3,000 – which means the A.C.T. will retain the dubious honour of having the biggest penalty for such an offence.
In NSW the fine stands at $2,200 while you can get away with it for free in Western Australia.
