In a major boost for the sporting fans, stage one of construction at the Phillip District Enclosed Oval is officially complete.

A new pavilion with female-friendly change rooms has opened at Phillip District Enclosed Oval following the first stage of works being completed.

Minister for Sport and Recreation Yvette Berry said the upgrades represent a major investment in the local sport and community well-being in the Woden Valley.

Future enhancements, set to commence in July are planned to improve the playing surface, install sports ground lighting and upgrade existing infrastructure.

The project delivers on a 2020 ACT Labor election commitment to upgrade community sporting infrastructure across Canberra.
