Fireworks will light up the night sky in Canberra with two displays set for this New Years Eve

All eyes will be focussed on lake Burley Griffin for two count-downs….
One at 9pm – the other at midnight as we enter 2023.

The Government says some of the best places to watch the fireworks will be Regatta Point, Bowen Park and Patrick White Lawns – among others.

But if you’ve got pets – authorities are discouraging you from bringing them to Canberra’s night of nights… and should instead be left at home.
