There’s been a quiet memorial on the 85th anniversary of a Canberra air-disaster.

10 people were killed on the 13th of August, when the R.A.A.F. Lockheed Hudson crashed on a flight from Melbourne, as it was about to land in the relatively young National Capital.

Some of those killed were Government ministers at the time.

Wreaths were laid at a memorial last week…. a fly-over marked the remembrance.

The crash location is a former sheep paddock, these days it’s full of pine trees off Pialligo Avenue between Canberra and Queanbeyan, in a relatively hard to find spot.
