Prime Minister Scott Morrison is preparing to spend Christmas at The Lodge with his family.

Mr Morrison, his wife Jenny, their two daughters, and his mother and mother-in-law will celebrate Christmas in the prime ministerial residence.

After a near-unbroken run hosting prime ministers for 70 years, Canberra has in more recent years shared them with Sydney.
