ACT Policing are questioning a man following a pursuit through numerous Canberra suburbs on Friday.

Officers recovered a firearm during the search of a premises yesterday while they were trying to locate an alleged offender following an incident where a man forced entry into a property in Casey on Friday.

Police allege the man returned to his car before discharging a firearm, he then failed to stop for police and continued driving through a number of southern suburbs.

Road spikes were deployed and a number of attempts were made to stop the white BMW which has since been recovered.
