Recently enabled changes by the ACT Government allowed police to immediately suspend the licenses of both drivers, and seize their vehicles for 90 days.
One of the men was caught 59 kilometres over the limit, and when stopped by police the 22-year-old from Giralang produced a learner’s driver’s license.
The second incident involved a man who was driving a Ferrari past police at significant speed on the Monaro Highway.
Police are urging Canberrans to think about others when they choose to speed.
