New laws are being promised to crackdown on problem gambling in the A.C.T.

The A.C.T. Minister for Gaming has promised the “GET TOUGH” approach.

It comes four years after the death of a punter who took his own life

Shane Rattenbury says the Government’s been testing the market for a system, that will make it difficult for gamblers to lose more money on poker machines, than previously agreed.

The system’s yet to be considered by the A.C.T. Cabinet…

Mr Rattenbury says it could still take 5 years to put in place.
