The ACT’s prescribed burn program is underway running until the beginning of winter.

The program aims to reduce the risk of bush and grass fires within the A-C-T, while also providing ecological benefits for local native species that live in the area.

Senior Director of Fire Management Nick Daines says it will include cultural burns led by traditional owners.
