There’s renewed hope that Qantas will go ahead with plans to link the national capital with direct flights to Asia

Chief Minsiter ANDREW BARR has already raised the prospect of the flying kangaroo operating a direct service between Canberra and Asia… infact, Qantas boss Vanessa Hudson highlighted the Canberra Singapore route as being on the airline’s radar.

The possiblity has again been raised – as Qantas promotes the introduction of the new AIRBUS A321 XLR jet –

The carrier say the new jet is far more fuel efficient and can fly longer distances.

The new jet comes into service early next year.
