A set back for Canberra Airport’s plan to expand its international horizons.
QATAR Airways has scrapped plans to fly out of Canberra Airport.
The service was due to begin this weekend.
In a statement, the airline says the decision to scrub the flights was due to “Operational Reasons”
“We sincerely apologise for the inconvenience caused to passengers who are currently booked to travel on QR988 and QR989 to and from Canberra,” an airline spokesperson said.
Customers who were due to travel with QATAR this weekend have been accommodated on other airlines.
It’s the 2nd time QATAR has dropped Canberra from its schedule.
